TESTIMONIALS

Morten Jelert

Denmark (Singapore Residence)

This serves to express our deep appreciation and professional coaching skills extended to our son Adam (14) by Guy during our stay in Singapore 2019-2021 at the Borussia Academy Singapore.

Guy is certainly a master of simple communication where he puts himself on the same level of the players and sense their strong and weak sides through communication and obviously visually when playing.

Guy was himself a professional soccer player and that reflects his coaching where he understands and exerts discipline within the team with a professional understanding of physics and build same so the team become robust. His background has brought his style a serious approach and mindset to training which is a cornerstone of improving the game.

Its about having fun at all times during a game and Guy perfectly understands that you lose games, however also that you rise again, work hard at your skills. Guy apply a European mindset to playing soccer which is system based.

Guy easily gain the trust of his players. If we follow him as coach the team will improve as a team through his personality and former career as a player. We enjoyed his company as a positive and listening person who respected all team players, and we could note improvements nearly on monthly basis of the entire team spirit and their achieved results.

We would have loved to have Guy as a soccer coach here in Denmark, as you will not find many on this level with his dedication.

We have known Guy for other 6 years having met him thru the Makati Elite Academy where is coached our two sons.  We see Guy as an excellent coach for 3 reasons:  his technical skill teaching is at a high level and relevant to how the modern game is played; his appreciation of tactics and how to apply them to a particular game situation is excellent.  However, mostly we appreciated him the emotional intelligence of getting the most out of our (and every other) boy, knowing when to encourage, when to push them harder and when to simply let them be or have fun.   The results of the teams he has coached have proven his coaching ability, with many final played and won in the local league and international tournaments.  He truly loves the games and wants all he trains to improve and love it too.

I had the pleasure of watching Guy lead a coaching session for a group of more than 30 young footballers from care-homes across the region. Having been involved with football for a number of years, I've seen many fantastic coaches, such as those at Barcelona F.C., and I can say that Guy is up there with the best of the best! Multi-talented and multi-lingual (he even speaks Chinese!!), Guy is a natural with the kids and is a fantastic footballer and coach. Highly recommended should anyone need any coaching.

Guy Herve was my son’s football coach at Makati Football Club for 3 consecutive years from 2013 – 2015.

I can describe him as a very good role model, loves children and is kind to everyone even when he first meets them.  He can be approached easily, even my 3 yr old daughter got along and had fun with Guy during the training of her brother.   He also has the respect of not only the kids but the parents too. Guy made a huge contribution in the development of my son’s character growing up.  In fact, because of the character and good role model that Mr Guy is, I also made him my son’s God Parent.

Coach Guy was my 14 year old son's coach for 3 years. He was a valuable part of the Makati Football Club. He was a soccer head coach in our youth soccer program. He was a passionate coach who poured out his passion for the kids in everything that he did. He was the best coach who did everything with excellence. He stressed sportsmanship and teamwork above all else. Most importantly he made each practice, game or meets fun for all involved.

In addition to our professional relationship, I found him to be a man of the highest moral character. I have the highest regards for this gentleman and offer him my highest recommendation.  Coach Guy will be asset to any organization that he is a part of.

Coach Guy has coached both my two boys during the past 3 years and he has been a stella football coach. Guy has a coaching style that is a balance of motivation, technique and discipline; and these attributes combined with his superior knowledge of football, has significantly improved the manner in which both my sons not only play but also the way in which they think about the game. The unique teaching and coaching style which Guy applies day to day, naturally raises the attention levels of players as well as their desire to want to do better. Guy’s training drills and practice plays are sophisticated in that they not only help players develop physically but they all translate to in-game scenarios which has resulted in players, particularly both my boys, playing with confidence during matches. I have had my children train with many coaches during the past decade, and Coach Guy stands out as one of the best. Whilst Guy does not talk too much about his own ‘playing days’ to players, Guy’s time as a professional footballer in multiple countries adds a level of quality that you simply do not get from a typical local football club based coach. I would recommend Coach Guy to any parent/guardian that wants their child/children to learn, develop and play football with confidence, passion and skill.

Guy Hervé Kiyeck, is one hell of a football coach.

Back in 2017, I happened to run into him at a local pick-up game just a few days after his arrival in Singapore. It turned out to be a lucky strike for the “GESS” (German European School Singapore) football department as he quickly grew to become one of the school’s most successful coaches.

With the perfect coaching recipe of being a challenging and, at times, demanding instructor while also having a very honest, fun and down-to-earth approach towards the players, Guy was an extremely popular coach among all age groups.

His immense experience in being a past professional player and coach was invaluable for the school’s football development. Most notably, Coach Guy led our 12U and 14U girls’ teams to ACSIS Division 1 gold medals, making GESS the best girls’ football Middle School on the island. Above all, Guy Hervé was also showcasing exemplary work ethic as he would always arrive on campus long before agreed meeting hours in order to meticulously prep the field for practice sessions or explore match tactics for upcoming league fixtures.

Always with a smile on his face, Coach Guy was real pleasure to work with and of immeasurable help to our competitive sports department.
